- Diagnostic/service call, labor hours, the equipment or unit cost if you installed one, and any permit fee — each broken out so the client can see the split between hardware and install.
- Can I invoice a system replacement in stages?
- Yes — issue a deposit invoice for part of the total up front, and a second invoice for the balance once the install is done; both can convert from the same accepted estimate.
- Can I send a receipt once it’s paid?
- Yes — record the payment on the invoice and issue a receipt for it in one step. The receipt names the invoice and payment it settles.
