- What should an electrical invoice include?
- The service call, labor hours at your rate, materials and fixtures, and any permit fee — each as its own line. Add your license number to the business details; most states require it on the invoice.
- Can I set payment terms like Net 30?
- Yes — set a due date and payment terms on the invoice, and they print with it. "Due on receipt" is common for service calls; Net 15 or Net 30 for larger installs.
- Can I send a receipt once it’s paid?
- Yes — record the payment on the invoice and issue a receipt for it in one step. The receipt names the invoice and payment it settles.
- What if the job started as an estimate?
