Get paid

Send the invoice. Get paid on the same page.

Your client opens the invoice and pays it by card or from their bank account. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account. It never sits with us, and nothing is marked paid until Stripe confirms it.

Your Stripe account

You open it with Stripe, under your own agreement with Stripe. We are not the merchant and we do not hold your money.

Card or bank

Your client chooses on the pay page. You can turn bank payments off, or turn online payment off for any one invoice.

Receipt, automatically

When a payment lands, your client gets a receipt tied to that invoice and you get a note saying you have been paid.

What it costs

  • Cards: Stripe’s processing (2.9% + 30¢) plus our 0.5% platform fee, at most $10 a payment, or $2 on the paid plan. In total, 3.4% + 30¢ until our part reaches its cap.
  • Bank (ACH): 1% in total, at most $10, plus Stripe’s $1.50 bank verification.
  • The fees come out of what you receive. Your client pays the invoice amount and never sees a fee line. If a payment is refunded or a dispute is lost, we refund our fee in proportion.
  • Stripe’s other charges are billed by Stripe to your account: $4 for a failed bank debit, a $15 dispute fee, and extra for international cards. See Stripe’s pricing.

Compared with PayPal and Square

The total fee on a US invoice paid by a US card or bank account, using each company’s own published rates, read on 2026-10-13. The PayPal and Square figures are rates for invoice payments in those products; we have not tried to include their other charges.

  • For small card payments PayPal’s 2.99% + 49¢ costs more than ours, and for payments above about $46 it costs less. Square’s Plus and Premium card rate (2.9% + 30¢) is lower than ours at every amount, and it needs one of those plans.
  • On a bank payment we cost $1.50 more than PayPal’s Pay by Bank and Square’s Plus and Premium plans at every amount, because of Stripe’s bank verification. Against Square’s Free plan, which lists no cap, we cost less only on payments above about $1,150.
  • What you also get here: the generator stays free with no signup, there is no per-invoice charge, and the paid plan is one flat price.

Sources, all read 2026-10-13: PayPal’s business fees page (it says it was last updated October 1, 2026), Square’s Invoices fees page (it shows no date) and Stripe’s pricing page for the Stripe part of ours. Fees change without notice, so check the source before you quote a figure. Our own are on the pricing page. International cards, currency conversion and negotiated Stripe pricing change what you pay Stripe; our part stays the same.
